SB Machines has taken the decision to launch a brand new ride mid-season at this month’s ARE show, with the Twin Pony Compact offering all the fun of Twin Pony Express, but at a fraction of the size and “significantly cheaper.”
SB Machines has announced it will be presenting a brand new ride alongside several assured classics at the inaugural ARE Expo, which takes place this month in Manchester.
The Porthcawl-based supplier of Italian-made rides will not only showcase the hugely popular Peppa Helicopter, but also take up the reins on the new Twin Pony Compact.
“Traditionally we would normally wait for ACOS 25 and EAG 26 to showcase this ride, but we thought we would embrace the spirit of this revolutionary change in show dates by adding something that has never been seen before,” said company principal Paolo Sidoli.
“Twin Pony Compact evolves from one of our most successful rides ever, the iconic Twin Pony Express. Horses are traditionally the most popular rides and every five or so years the concept needs to be evolved.”
Twin Pony Compact is 30 percent smaller than the previous model, and “significantly cheaper,” but retains the cashbox returns, reliability and ease of manoeuvrability.
“This ride will punch well above its weight in any amusement location,” said Sidoli. “Despite being smaller and lower, the visual impact is not diminished.”
