Sega Amusements International names new CEO and COO in strategic reshuffle

Following the departure of long-term CEO Paul Williams last month, Sega Amusements International has announced former finance director Siraj Elkhawad will serve as his replacement, effective immediately.

The promotion is just one of several strategic appointments confirmed by the amusement arcade game specialist, with sales and marketing GM Justin Burke named as COO, and Nigel Allison promoted to manufacturing and R&D director.

“My focus will be on building on our strong financial foundations to drive growth, expand our global reach, and deliver truly world-class experiences that inspire and delight players everywhere,” said Elkhawad.

“Together with our talented team, I believe the future holds enormous potential for both our customers and the wider amusement industry.”

Elkhawad boasts more than 27 years of experience in the amusement industry, and brings “a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and strong leadership” to the role of CEO.

“Coming from a finance background, Siraj has been instrumental in ensuring the company operates from a position of financial strength,” said a spokesperson.

Burke, meanwhile, has worked at Sega since 1996, bringing “a strong sales and operations background” to his new position as COO. “I am excited to continue my journey at Sega in this new role and help the company deliver on its strategic objectives,” he said.
