Hollywood Bowl Group will open its largest UK venue in Cardiff’s St David’s Centre in spring 2026, featuring bowling, e-karting, darts, and arcade games across 45,000 square feet.
Hollywood Bowl Group has confirmed plans to “open its largest ever” UK venue in Cardiff’s St David’s Shopping Centre.
The multi-million-pound development, expected to open in spring 2026, will offer ten-pin and duckpin bowling lanes, electric go-karting, interactive darts, and a large arcade with games and pool tables across 45,000 square feet over two floors. This will be the Group’s second Cardiff location, joining the Hollywood Bowl at the Red Dragon Centre in Cardiff Bay.
“Hollywood Bowl will be an excellent addition to St David’s as the brand’s largest UK opening yet, bringing with it an exciting e-karting first for Cardiff,” commented Helen Morgan, centre director at St David’s, which has an average annual footfall of over 36 million.
“Its mix of all-ages games and entertainment will further enhance the centre’s appeal to guests, and cement St David’s position as the region’s go-to destination for the best brands and experiences.”
The announcement follows Hollywood Bowl Group’s interim financial results for the six months ending 31 March 2025, which showed strong performance and continued demand for family-friendly leisure. The company reported record revenues and EBITDA, with UK revenue up by 1.3 percent.
During the same period, Hollywood Bowl opened three new centres in Swindon, Preston and Inverness – all of which are trading in line with expectations. The group also completed four refurbishments, which are currently performing above their target rates.
