Adventure Island owner the Stockvale Group has celebrated the election of its managing director Marc Miller to the BALPPA management committee, which took place last month.

Miller joined 19 other representatives from the UK attractions and leisure park sector on the committee following a vote at the association’s AGM, and will serve in the role until 2027.

“We’re delighted to share that our managing director of Stockvale Group, Marc Miller, has been elected to the prestigious Management Committee of BALPPA, the leading association representing businesses in the leisure and tourism industry,” said Stockvale.

“Every two years, BALPPA holds a vote for prospective members, and we’re incredibly proud that Marc has been chosen by fellow industry leaders. Congratulations, Marc.”

Speaking after the election, BALPPA said: “It’s great to welcome back people who have served before and some new faces too.”

Also on the committee are Ramesh Ganeson from Legoland Windsor Resort, Dominic Wray from Blackgang Chine, Helen Bull from The Escapade Group, and Anita Waddell of Agility Marketing, who will serve under Mike Vallis of Merlin Entertainments and Cassie Poland of Drusillas Park as chair and vice chair respectively.

It was also announced that Phil Pickersgill of Innovative Leisure will serve as president.
