Stonegate has reported “another period of strong profit growth” during the 40 weeks to 5 July 2026, with operating profit up from £228m the previous year to £245m, but group revenue fell from £1.256bn from £1.163bn.
Consistent performance across its 4,100 venue estate allowed the company to reduce its total loss from £73m to £53m, while the sale of 123 sites and nine plots of land added £56m to the books.
“The third quarter is another period of strong profit growth for Stonegate Group, demonstrating that our transformation strategy is working, and we remain on track to deliver a significant year of profit growth for the group,” CEO David McDowall told Propel.
“The strength of our performance is underpinned by our partnership businesses. Both Stonegate Pub Partners and Craft Union continue to deliver strong like-for-like sales growth and margin expansion. Their success reinforces our belief that when we empower the right operator to meet the needs of their local community, the pub thrives.”
The Craft Union estate saw profit grow 15.2 percent during the period, while profit for the leased and tenanted business increased 5.7 percent.
“The conversion of 147 managed pubs into our partnership formats year-to-date has accelerated the pace of our transformation, improved operating efficiency, and enhanced returns across the estate.”
