Finnish attraction operator SuperPark has announced it will enter the UK market for the first time next year with a 30,000 sq ft family adventure and entertainment complex at Braehead Shopping Centre.
The indoor activity park will boast 40 different fitness and recreation challenges, including trampoline and gymnastic arenas, basketball and football games, obstacle courses and climbing frames.
“Our choice of Braehead Shopping Centre to begin our UK roll-out is very deliberate,” said SuperPark UK director Jonathan Doherty. “The centre already plays a broad role in consumer’s lives and enjoys very strong loyalty, and yet there is demand for even more experience-led concepts.”
“This combination of consumer desire and consistently strong footfall are the ideal dynamics for our debut,” he added. “We have the perfect space in the perfect place and are excited that SuperPark is about to make its mark in the UK.”
The new Renfrew venue is part of SuperPark’s focus on expansion, with the company looking to grow beyond the 26 parks it currently operates worldwide, and also represents Braehead’s commitment to boosting its leisure offer.
“SuperPark’s debut at Braehead underlines the destination’s reputation as a place that delivers results and actively responds to growing consumer demand for immersive, experience-led leisure,” said Huw Kmiot, associate director of asset management at Pradera Lateral, which manages Braehead.
