The 19th hole: Claremont Pier announces September opening for new golf simulator

Claremont Pier is to launch its new golf simulator next month, after securing funding for the all-weather facility from the East Suffolk Resilience Grant Scheme.

The 19th Hole will open on 4 September, and comes as the pier expands its range of attractions to entice a broad range of customers year-round.

“If we stay stagnant, there would be no point for people to come down and visit,” pier director Ben Llewellyn told the Eastern Daily Press. “By moving forward with the simulator, we will attract different types of people who don’t normally come to us.”

The 19th Hole was first announced after the pier held a Facebook poll to gauge whether visitors would prefer the addition of golf, karaoke, or darts, with golf attracting the most votes.

Announcing the installation, the pier said the GSPro simulator was “going to be a hole-in-one.”

“Our state-of-the-art professional golf simulator is designed to give you an incredibly realistic golfing experience, whatever the weather.”

“Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a complete beginner, The 19th Hole Golf Simulator brings the course to you.”

Customers are now able to book 55 minute slots for the simulator room, which is located next to the pier’s Bar 20 venue.
