The Sun has praised the value for money of the amusements sector while revealing its top picks for budget-friendly beach days across the UK.
Topping the list is Lowestoft in Suffolk, where low-cost parking at £4 a day and cheap eats mean a family of four can enjoy the seaside for just £24.40.
Next up is Great Yarmouth in Norfolk, offering access to the long “golden mile” of amusements. With parking at £8, breakfast from £5.50, and rides at Joyland priced individually from just £2.50, a family can spend the day for around £48.
Meanwhile, in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, families can enjoy classic seaside entertainment with £1 rides on the pier and lunch deals under £5, with the total day cost remaining modest at roughly £31.
Barry Island in South Wales also offers cheap eats and low-cost fun. Even with higher parking at £12, the total spend for a day remains around £27.
Rounding off the list is Scarborough in Yorkshire, where a full day costs about £38.
