Tir Prince’s Mr B’s Amusements receives council funding for refurbishments

Mr B’s Amusements in Rhyl, owned by Tir Prince Leisure Group, has completed refurbishments with help from the Welsh Government’s Transforming Towns Placemaking Fund – and the operator has recommended the process.

The renovations, designed to boost the visual appeal of the premise and shop frontages, included a range of repairs, notably roof cleaning and restoration, reconstruction of bay windows, chimney repairs and rendering, alongside other general maintenance tasks. The works were carried out by the local council, which received a grant to boost local businesses from the government’s £100m fund.

“Tir Prince Leisure Group were pleased to work in conjunction with Denbighshire County Council to improve the condition of 29-33 West Parade, Rhyl, in line with the Rhyl Vision and overall regeneration of Rhyl,” said a spokesperson for the operator. “The application process for the grant funding was user-friendly and Denbighshire County Council were extremely helpful throughout the process.”

Jayne Bryant, cabinet secretary for housing and local government, said: “Denbighshire’s Property Development Grant scheme exemplifies how targeted investment to support shopfronts and buildings can help create vibrant environments and sustainable communities that residents can take pride in.”
