TouchTunes UK focus on income options for operators with an exciting venture into the competitive socialising arena

TouchTunes UK have been widening their portfolio for operators this year with the traditional jukebox and music offering joined by one of sport, and leisure’s rising star darts. In TT’s case, it’s their BullShooter which was a winner for the company during EAG. Toby Hoyte talks to Coinslot about how the darts offering is being welcomed with enthuiasm by operators, and how their traditional heartlands of jukes and music are driving income, courtesy of TouchTunes’ Premium deal. Toby Hoyte goes into more detail.

Coinslot: How did the show go for you this year – did it meet your expectations?

Toby Hoyte: EAG 2025 was an outstanding success for us. We had strong visitor numbers, a fantastic level of engagement with operators, and a great response to our latest innovations.\

One of the biggest highlights was welcoming the Arachnid team from the US, now part of the wider TouchTunes organisation, who joined us to showcase our BullShooter darts system. The darts area was incredibly busy throughout the show, generating a huge number of operator enquiries. This strong interest reinforced what we already knew – darts is a rapidly-growing sector within competitive socialising, presenting significant potential for UK venues. Moreover, it highlighted that our product may be a better fit for operators seeking a more streamlined solution to supply their sites, while also benefiting from a share of the play income.

Beyond that, we had extremely positive conversations about the continued success of the TouchTunes app, the impact of our Angelina jukebox, and the demand for cashless and remote management solutions. The enthusiasm from operators reassured us that 2025 is going to be an exciting year.

Coinslot: Any key developments finalised at EAG – new agreements signed, new appointments, installations agreed, etc?

Toby Hoyte: EAG was a fantastic launchpad for new business opportunities. Our ‘Premium’ deal for the Angelina jukebox, which offers it at the most competitive price we’ve ever had, received an overwhelming response, with several operators committing to multi-site installations.

Additionally, the interest in BullShooter darts exceeded our expectations, and we are now working with operators on setting up new venues with electronic darts systems. The Arachnid team’s presence at the show really helped showcase the potential for this product, and we’re excited to support operators in bringing this engaging experience to their venues.

Coinslot: What were the stand highlights – which products caught the attention and what was the reaction to your portfolio of products?

Toby Hoyte: Three key highlights stood out at the show.

BullShooter Darts by Arachnid: Without a doubt, the star of the stand was our electronic darts system. The number of enquiries we had from operators looking to introduce competitive social gaming into their venues was phenomenal. The success of darts leagues and tournaments in the US and Remote Play where patrons can play live – on video – with other players and locations around the world was a major talking point, and many UK operators are keen to follow suit.

The TouchTunes Mobile App also attracted huge interest. Operators were excited by the fact that our app now allows seamless music payments via Apple Pay and Google Pay. Since introducing these features, we’ve seen significant revenue increases, and the response at EAG confirmed that mobile engagement is a priority for venues.

And with the Angelina Jukebox & Premium Deal, we saw a lot of interest in our new financing deal, offering the Angelina jukebox at a market-leading price. Operators who upgraded their sites with Angelina have seen revenue uplifts of up to 40 percent, and that data resonated strongly with attendees.

Overall, the mix of innovative technology and high-quality entertainment experiences made for a really exciting stand, and the feedback from operators was incredibly positive.

Coinslot: It’s going to be a defining year for the business – new legislation and regulation. How did you gauge the general mood of the industry and what were the main talking points?

Toby Hoyte: There was an optimistic mood at the show, but operators are very aware that regulatory changes will require adaptation. A key theme in our conversations was the shift towards cashless payments and how venues can stay ahead of changing consumer habits.

Another major talking point was the growth of competitive social gaming – operators are looking for ways to attract customers who want an interactive, community-driven experience. This is why the success of BullShooter darts was so encouraging, as it aligns perfectly with this trend.

Coinslot: Now the show is over, what’s on your agenda going into spring in terms of new products, new projects, and more exhibitions?

Toby Hoyte: Our key focus areas moving forward are many-fold.

To start, we’ll be rolling out BullShooter darts. Given the phenomenal success at EAG, we are working closely with operators to bring electronic darts to more venues in the UK.

We will be maximising TouchTunes app engagement. With the seamless payment system now in place, we want to help venues drive even more revenue through mobile music interaction.

We intend to expand Angelina jukebox installations.  The response to our new Premium deal was fantastic, and we will be focusing on getting more operators signed up for this game-changing offer.

And finally there’s further exhibitions and industry events in the pipeline. Following the success at EAG, we are looking at additional opportunities to showcase our solutions and continue engaging with operators throughout 2025.
