The Betting and Gaming Council has revealed the speaker line-up for its 2025 annual general meeting, scheduled for 27 February in central London.
The event, themed ‘Making a Difference’, will showcase a prominent line-up of keynote speakers, including gambling minister Baroness Twycross, shadow secretary of state Stuart Andrew MP, and Gambling Commission CEO Andrew Rhodes. The AGM will emphasise implementing white paper policies, fostering economic growth, and maintaining industry standards.
“The BGC AGM is always a major highlight for our sector, and I am absolutely delighted to confirm such an outstanding line-up of keynote speakers at this year’s AGM,” commented BGC CEO Grainne Hurst. “Our theme and strapline for this year’s AGM is Making a Difference, and as we move forward into a new era, post the publication of the white paper, it could not be more fitting.”
Hurst also highlighted the BGC’s commitment to working with the government to implement white paper reforms.
“After a long period of instability, we are looking forward to working with the government to deliver the outstanding policies from the white paper so our sector can get back to what it does best, making a positive difference for their millions of customers, and the UK economy,” she concluded.
