VMA Systems expands with the acquisition of ICT North

VMA Systems has announced its expansion following the acquisition of a regional IT support provider.

The North Tyneside-based company has taken over ICT North as part of plans to broaden its service offering. The company says the move will enable it to deliver a “broader spectrum of services and benefits” to its clients.

“It’s been good to get this one across the line,” commented managing director David Middleton. “There’s exciting times ahead as we continue to expand the business.”

Founded in 2011, VMA Systems specialises in management software and mobile app support for gaming and amusement machine operators across the UK and North America. ICT North, also operating in the North East, provides IT support services to schools and education providers, including its subscription-based SmartSupport platform.

“There are many similarities between the two businesses, and customers will benefit from being part of the same group,” continued Middleton. “We are excited to see where the collaboration takes us.”

The deal was supported by commercial law firm Schofield Sweeney which reinforced VMA’s growth credentials. “VMA Systems is an exciting company very much looking to expand into new markets,” noted Ben Stephens, a solicitor in the firm’s corporate team. “We wish them every success.”
