Wilsons submit plans for its new Folkestone gaming venue

Slots Trading has submitted plans to Folkestone and Hythe District Council to open a new 24-hour AGC in Folkestone, giving a vacant former clothing shop on Sandgate Road a “huge overhaul.”

The plans, submitted by directors Charlotte and Jack Wilson, propose adding six bingo tables, 44 gaming machines and a bar in the 4,000 sq ft space, and revitalising the run-down shopfront.

“A glossy image shows the fading shopfront bedecked with an illuminated six-meter-long sign, with the words ‘bingo’ and ‘slots,’” reported Kent Online. “TV window displays, the firm says, will advertise promotions and ‘showcase our latest machines’ alongside ‘local activities.’”

“Plans state the design would be ‘in character with the street and surrounding businesses’ and, subject to council approval, increase footfall while creating a more welcoming environment for residents and visitors.”

Slots Trading, which also operates Wilson Slots and Casino in Week Street, Maidstone, added: “This proposal demonstrates a carefully planned shopfront window display that balances creativity with compliance. We respectfully request approval from the council to proceed.”

The plans have already received one objection from Folkestone Town Council, however a decision from Folkestone and Hythe District Council is expected later this year.
