Admiral to expand Bradford AGC by replacing tanning salon

Luxury Leisure has submitted plans to expand its Admiral AGC premises in Bradford by repurposing the tanning salon attached to the property.

The application states the 24-hour Tan and Go unit on Bridge Street was opened without permission over a decade ago, and that its legal use is as a gaming premises.

“The company operates the former Queensgate Leisureland premises at No.4 Broadway which is an inverted L shaped unit that also fronts onto Bridge Street,” stated Luxury Leisure.

“The premises is operated as a sui generis amusement centre and solarium with access from Broadway with the small portion fronting onto Bridge Street being in use as tanning solarium.”

“Access to and from the solarium is via the entrance to the amusement centre on Broadway. It appears that the tanning element was introduced unlawfully in 2015 and has continued to the current date.”

Bradford Council is expected to make a decision on the application next month.
