Merlin Entertainments is inviting customers to celebrate this year’s National Rollercoaster Day at one of its attractions across the UK, while making the most of reduced summer prices.

The national recognition day takes place on 16 August, with the group’s estate offering “unforgettable rides, record-breaking attractions and summer savings” at a variety of locations.

“From adrenaline-fuelled coasters at Thorpe Park to family adventures at Legoland Windsor Resort, Alton Towers Resort and Chessington World of Adventures Resort, Merlin Entertainments is encouraging families, students and thrillseekers to make the most of the summer holidays,” said a spokesperson.

“Thanks to the Great British Summer Saving Scheme, visitors can also enjoy reduced admission prices at Merlin’s UK attractions until 1 September 2026.”

With National Rollercoaster Day also taking place just after A-Level results, Thorpe Park’s Student Day Passes may make it an ideal destination for school leavers this summer.
