Airtastic is to reopen its Bangor entertainment centre in stages starting next month, following a £2.1m refit which added bowling, arcade, laser tag arena and expanded soft play centre.

The South Circular Retail Park venue closed to undertake the renovation in November, but will begin welcoming customers back as of 20 March.

“We’re thrilled to bring this exciting redevelopment to our Bangor centre, continuing to serve the community with even more ways to have fun,” said business operations director Thomas Fegan.

“The new centre will offer something for everyone, with activities suitable for all ages, and we’re proud to support the North Down and Ards area by creating new jobs, providing a destination for family-friendly fun, but also a new option for a great evening out for the locals.”

Airtastic is currently putting the finishing touches on what will be “a multi-activity venue for all ages,” complete with 12 lanes of “high tech” bowling alongside the arcade and laser tag.

“Like all other Airtastic venues across Northern Ireland and Ireland, the revamped Bangor location will offer a wider range of activities under one roof, ensuring guests can enjoy a full day of entertainment, whether it’s knocking down pins on the bowling lanes, battling it out in laser tag, or collecting tickets in the arcade for exciting prizes.”
