The Bacta Baggers, an intrepid group of industry stalwarts representing Blueprint Operations, NOVOMATIC Gaming UK, Inspired Technology, Wexel and Innovative Technology embraced the spirit which drives the business walking the stunning Munros of Ben Lawers and Beinn Ghlas, and the rugged beauty of the Ring of Steall in the Mamores mountain range to raise crucial funds in the fight against Motor Neurone Disease.
Andy Tipple, Managing Director Blueprint Operations has praised the solidarity, friendship and sheer guts of the Bacta Baggers a group of industry friends who have come together and succeeded in raising over £25,000 in aid of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.
Formerly the Bacta Bikers, the Baggers comprising Andy Tipple (Blueprint), Kevin Temple (NOVOMATIC Gaming UK), Rob Bennett (NOVOMATIC Gaming UK), Andy Bower (Inspired Technology), Sean Young (Wexel), Paul Abbott (NOVOMATIC Gaming UK), James Fergusson (Blueprint), Josh Beard (NOVOMATIC Gaming UK) and Andy Bullock (Innovative Technology) walked the stunning Munros of Ben Lawers and Beinn Ghlas, followed by the rugged beauty of the Ring of Steall in the Mamores mountain range.
The Ring of Steall walk on Day 2 is for accomplished Munro Baggers and drew on the experienced members who served as Sherpas guiding the rest of the group including the descent of An Gearanach and wading through the Waterfall crossing minus footwear.
In a joint statement, the Bacta Baggers said: “This challenge was more than just a test of endurance – it was a way to raise vital funds and awareness for Motor Neurone Disease, a devastating life-limiting condition that affects so many families across the country.
“By taking on these iconic peaks, we hope to make a real difference in the fight against MND, supporting the MNDA’s crucial work in research, care, and advocacy.
“Essentially, we are walking for those who can’t and to help bring hope to those living with MND. Every step we take brings us closer to finding a cure and the support we’ve received from the industry has been both inspiring and humbling in equal measure.
Josh Beard, shares that the walk was an “incredibly enjoyable experience from start to finish. It was all for a great cause, and it genuinely exceeded my expectations. What made it even more special was the team, a fantastic group of people who supported one another every step of the way.”
