The Betting and Gaming Council has announced the speaker programme for its upcoming AGM, which will include keynote addresses from Baroness Twycross and the exiting CamCom chief Andrew Rhodes.
Taking place later this month in central London, the event will bring together representatives from across the industry to discuss issues such as the growth of the illegal market.
“We’re delighted to announce the Betting and Gaming Council’s 2026 AGM, taking place on Thursday 26 February in central London,” said a BGC spokesperson. “With the harmful black market continuing to grow, this year’s theme – ‘The illegal market: Real risk. Real harm’ – will bring together policymakers, regulators and industry leaders.”
“We’re delighted to confirm keynote speakers Baroness Twycross, minister for gambling, and Andrew Rhodes, chief executive of the Gambling Commission. We will also hear from Nigel Huddleston, shadow secretary of state for culture, media and sport.”
The AGM will also feature a headline panel hosted by broadcaster and former MP Gloria De Piero and economist Liam Halligan.
Panelists will include EY’s Christopher Sanger, the former director-general of the National Crime Agency, Keith Bristow, the Gambling Commission’s director of policy Ian Angus, Entain’s group general counsel Simon Zinger, and director of corporate affairs for the Rank Group, David Williams.
