The Bingo Association hosted its annual Roadshow event in Leeds recently, with representatives from the Gambling Commission, GamCare, Poppleston Allen, ECM Systems and the BA itself delivering a series of updates on the present requirements and future opportunities for the sector.
The Bingo Association hosted its annual Roadshow event in Leeds on 21 November, with representatives from the industry making their way to the Neville Suite of the Hilton Leeds City for a range of discussions, progress reports and expert speakers.
Hosted by BA CEO Miles Baron, the highlights included regulatory updates from the Gambling Commission and news on the latest developments from Meeron and the National Bingo Game Association.
“It was fantastic to see so many members and associates in attendance,” said the Association. “Following a networking lunch, we delivered some important updates and developments affecting the sector.”
“We were also joined by Graham Burgin from the Gambling Commission, who gave an informative presentation about the Gaming Machines Technical Standards and Machines Testing Strategy consultations.”
The event also included presentations from Jodie Biglin, sales director at ECM Systems, Poppleston Allen associate Imogen Moss, and the BA’s head of governance and compliance Paul Swindon.
Jenna Lothammer from GamCare also introduced industry-specific training courses designed to enhance player protection and promote responsible gambling across bingo operations.
The Roadshow is “a vital part of the BA’s commitment to keeping members informed,” providing a platform for insightful discussions and networking opportunities, and was open to all BA members and associates.
Once again, the event delivered “a packed afternoon of valuable information and networking opportunities,” allowing attendees to “stay ahead of industry changes, learn more about regulatory developments, and connect with fellow bingo professionals.”
