BJ’s Bingo reopened its Leigh venue on 26 April after a £3m refurbishment, with the project creating a brand new Bingo Lounge designed for social gameplay alongside the fully-renovated main hall.
The club has been a mainstay of the Leigh community for 22 years, and the ten-month investment programme aims to better serve the requirements of modern bingo audiences, while honouring the needs of its traditional customer base.
“We’re so proud to finally open the doors and show off the new club,” said GM Andrew Tattershall. “We’ve created something really special here – a place for everyone, whether you’re after a quiet game or a fun night out with friends.”
“It’s all about giving people in Leigh a great experience every time they visit.”
According to the Leigh Journal, the new Bingo Lounge is “a lively, relaxed space where players can enjoy bingo, chat with friends, and grab food and drinks,” allowing the main hall to remain “a quiet, traditional setting for those who prefer to concentrate on their numbers without distractions.”
The hall was officially reopened by MP for Leigh and Atherton, Jo Platt, who said: “£3m has been spent refurbishing the club – what a fantastic facility for Leigh. Securing jobs and giving the community a great place to meet and play.”
