Butlin’s £1.8m investment set to boost tourism to Bognor Regis

The Mirror has predicted that Butlin’s recent £1.8m investment in family entertainment at its Bognor Regis resort will “help to bolster tourism in the region,” hailing the new four-storey soft play complex as a “huge upgrade” for the holiday park.

Observing that Bognor struggles under a reputation for being “rundown” despite its “dozen golden sandy beaches, crystal-clear water, and a Victorian pier,” the paper welcomed Butlin’s outlay on attractions as being transformative for holidaymakers.

“Just last month, Butlin’s announced it had finished a huge £1.8m upgrade to the resort – helping to bolster tourism in the region,” wrote reporter Liam Gilliver. “The transformation means Bognor Regis is now home to Butlin’s biggest-ever indoor Soft Play centre and Puppet Theatre.”

“Opening in time for the busy Easter half term, the four-storey soft play centre, which is a whopping 3,000 sq ft, has the capacity to entertain up to 200 children – while adults can kick back and relax in the new 100-person eating area.”

Reporting on the new amenities available, the article added: “The Soft Play centre features new slides, climbing challenges, log ramps, cargo nets, and a multi-sensory area for babies,” and noted that the Puppet Theatre will put on new shows “including Under The Sea, Jingle in the Jungle and Christmouse.”
