Buzz Bingo Cricklewood unveils Stephen’s Suite in honour of late colleague

Buzz Bingo Cricklewood has redesigned and renamed its Jackpot Lounge in honour of “beloved and loyal” former employee Stephen Sabapathy, who died last year.

Stephen’s Suite will be officially unveiled at an event attended by the Sabapathy family on 22 February, where there will also be a presentation to Harefield Hospital Charities.

“As a team, we are deeply saddened by the loss of Stephen, who was not only a dedicated colleague but also a friend,” said deputy manager Craig White.

“I had the privilege of working alongside him for many years, and his unwavering commitment to the team left an indelible mark on all of us.”

Sabapathy worked at the hall for ten years as a machine engineer, and a collection on his behalf raised £1250 for Harefield Hospital Charities. The design of the suite is intended to reflect Sabapathy’s Sri Lankan heritage.

“Our family is deeply touched by the dedication of Stephen’s Suite in honour of my father,” said Sabapathy’s son Jon Stephen. “Buzz Bingo was more than just a workplace for him, it was a community he cherished.”

“This tribute beautifully reflects his heritage, faith, and passion for his work. We are grateful to everyone involved in keeping his memory alive in a place he loved so much.”
