Clacton Pier has announced its biggest ever events programme for 2026, with entertainments taking place every month, including a free pirate show, a Blue Light weekend, live music festivals, and the new Halloween attraction; Clacton Fear!
The programme will kick off with February Frenzy over half term, while the Easter Extravaganza begins on 28 March and the first of nine free firework displays takes place on 5 April.
“We have a packed programme of 12 events,” said GM Harry Peek. “We are expecting that not only will they bring people onto the pier but also into the town and district and boost tourism.”
“Everyone is looking for fun and entertainment without breaking the bank and most events will be free to attend with others discounted to make them real value for money.”
Pirates Ahoy will offer “swashbuckling fun” from 23 to 31 May, before character weekends on 6 June, 11 July and 5 September, alongside Clacton Live, a free live music festival taking place on weekends through June.
August’s Carnival week will see the pier host more live music and fireworks display, before a series of Armed Forces, Emergency Services, and Blue Light weekends in autumn.
Oktoberfest starts on 19 September, while the new Clacton Fear! is expected to be a major Halloween highlight, offering “terrifying scare mazes, rides in the dark and live entertainment.”
