Clacton Pier is to reopen its Lanes Bowling Centre this weekend following a three week refurbishment project by QubicaAMF, which included the installation of a 16 metre interactive LED wall featuring the immersive BES NV Neoverse system.
Clacton Pier will reopen its revamped bowling centre this weekend following a “major transformation,” which saw the lanes closed for three weeks as QubicaAMF installed new state of the art equipment.
The refurbishment includes the addition of a 16 metre interactive LED wall, directly integrated with gameplay, offering a selection of on-demand themes, environments and games for both groups and individuals.
“Everyone from QubicaAMF and our own team have worked tirelessly to get the job completed,” said pier GM Harry Peek. “There has been a huge amount to do but they have all pulled together to make this happen and now we want to let our guests come and enjoy a totally new experience.”
“The interactive LED wall is the first of its kind in this country with an immersive universe of engaging content, lighting and sound system with scoring system technology.”
The Lanes Bowling Centre was first installed in 2011, with Peek acknowledging that “it definitely needed upgrading.”
The new screen runs QubicaAMF’s BES NV Neoverse system, featuring live scoring and ambient effects, with a self-service kiosk and new seating to be added in a second phase due to be completed later this year.
The Lanes Bowling Centre was first put in during 2011 and is a much more mechanical and intricate system.
“We are absolutely delighted with the finished product and we hope our guests will feel the same,” added Peek. “I am certain they will not be disappointed.”
“We are excited to welcome back our bowling enthusiasts and believe that this equipment will bring in a host of new fans.”
