Despite customers labouring under the threat of legislative uncertainty and the impact of a less-than-perfect summer in 2024, Crown Leisure welcomed a “good turnout of positive people” to its stand at EAG this year, with MD Dean Harding telling Coinslot “the response has been very good for everything.”
Crown Leisure welcomed “a good turnout of positive people” to its stand at EAG this year, with customers eager to discover the latest titles from Original Joy and TKM, as well as a neat solution for AGCs keen on L&W’s Kascada cabinet, but short on headroom.
With Crown displaying “more than its fair share” of the show’s best games, MD Dean Harding told Coinslot how its spread of top-quality titles attracted customers determined to make the most of the season in the face of legislative uncertainty.
“Overall, we’re very happy,” said Harding. “Obviously it could always be better, you feel you could always do more, but with the market conditions, delays to the White Paper, the backdrop of a poor season last year because of the weather, the cost-base and everything else, people are in a much more positive mindframe than I thought they would be.”
“People are kind of like ‘you know what, we’ve just got to get on with it.’ So there’s been a good turnout of positive people.”
One significant draw for those customers was the new Kascada Slant from Light & Wonder, which offers customers all the “fantastic” features of the standout 2024 product in a reduced height cabinet, aimed at high street venues hamstrung by
low ceilings.
Meanwhile, on the novelty side, the Star Wheel from Original Joy and Magic Factory from TKM proved particular customer favourites, alongside Ticket Carnival.
“The response has been very good for everything, pushers, cranes, ticket redemption, slots, there’s been a lot of interest across the whole product range. I always like it when we have a solid product base rather than everyone piling into one game, it’s much nicer to spread your sales across multiple models.”
“The customers are here and they want to get geared up for the season. Across the show there’s a lot of good games, and I think we’ve got more than our fair share.”
