Dransfield Group in a “very strong position” after ‘25 revenue growth

Reporting higher turnover but a profit decline due to a “one off administrative cost”, Dransfields’ 2025 financial accounts showcase a strong performance in a challenging trading environment. Further evidence of a restructured company going places.

Dransfields posted increased revenues for the year ended 30 June 2025, although a “one off administrative cost” ate away at the profits – for this financial year at least.

Turnover rose to £39.6m, up from £36.5m the previous year, reflecting continued demand across the group’s gaming machine and leisure operations. However, the company recorded a loss after tax of £104,619 compared with a profit of £2.7m in 2024. While gross profit improved to £15.9m from £14.8m, administrative expenses increased to £15.8m from £11m, offsetting gains and putting the company out of the profit zone for the year.

Despite the drop in the administration-affected profitability, the directors noted the group’s solid financial position.

“After taking account of one off administrative costs, the Directors are pleased with the results for the year which reflect the continued investment into digital gaming machines and next generation juke boxes, together with continued growth in contracts with pub retailers,” they wrote in the financial report. “Alongside this, the Group has invested further in IT infrastructure and software development for the benefit of the business and its customers. This is reflected in enhanced revenue from the equipment we supply.”

The directors added that Reflex Gaming continues to thrive and that the acquisition of Crystal & Son Limited, Bingo Supplies Limited and Kellyseye Limited has further enhanced the Dransfield Group’s position – with more purchases potentially on the cards.

“The Group will continue to look at opportunities to expand through acquisition as well as through organic growth and remains committed to driving innovation in games and machine design,” continued the directors. “Dransfield’s will continue to tender for business within the retail pub sector to expand beyond the core customer base of private members clubs and free trade pubs.

With a strong balance sheet, an excellent credit rating and solid customer base, the Directors concluded that the Group is “in a very strong position to take advantage of any opportunities in the evolving hospitality industry”.
