Game Nation celebrates International Women’s Day and looks to the future

The significance of the annual International Women’s Day was not lost on Game Nation which took the opportunity to produce a digital publication profiling the contributions being made by female team members working across all sectors of the business.

Game Nation the progressive high street gaming retailer celebrated International Women’s Day (March 8th) with the publication of a digital pamphlet which profiled some of the company’s talented female employees working across the business.

Introducing the International Women’s Day inspired publication Game Nation HR Director Julie Redfern said: “In a business where 42 percent of the team is female and where 23 of our 43 venues have a female manager it’s with great pride that we are profiling the contributions made by women to the Game Nation brand.

“We hope that every female in the workplace feels empowered and we will be progressing with more initiatives to ensure that all of our female colleagues are heard, recognised and supported.”

Explaining the importance of International Women’s Day Kavita Devi, Supervisor covering the Game Nation venues in Southampton said: “International Women’s Day is crucial for celebrating women’s achievements, advocating for gender equality, raising awareness about discrimination and inspiring progress. Recognising women’s contributions fosters a more just, progressive and balanced world for future generations.”

Area Support Manager Nikki Cox-Malia added: “Women have come a long way, fighting to see the equality that we see today. It’s fantastic to work for a company that recognises women and their achievements.”
