NSM Music has taken delivery of the 5,000th Atom, with the pioneering compact jukebox still “going from strength to strength” two years after first entering the market. Speaking to Coinslot, sales and marketing director Alex Kirby extolled the virtues of the “revolutionary” machine.
Just two years after launching the “revolutionary” Atom to the UK market, NSM Music has taken delivery of the 5,000th unit, with sales still showing no sign of slowing down.
Speaking to Coinslot ahead of next week’s ACOS outing, sales and marketing director Alex Kirby explained what makes the Atom so desirable – still, and what new features operators can expect in the new year.
“The Atom is going from strength to strength,” Kirby noted. “We’re still flying with this product, it’s still outselling everything by a mile. It’s just unbelievable where we are with it.”
“What’s even more incredible is the feedback we get on it. It’s not just how affordable it is, it’s how easy it is to work on, how easy it is to install.”
And Kirby has even more faith in the innovative product than he did when he drove the Atom project forward in the latter end of late 2022. “Reliability is fantastic, especially when combined with the NSM After Sales. Dare I say it; it’s the perfect product, certainly for the market here. We couldn’t have asked for any more.”
The Atom first launched as all the leaves started to go brown in Autumn 2023, and by the turn of the year – at EAG – more than 1,200 Atoms had been sent out to operators, with the product becoming 2023’s biggest selling jukebox “by a mile” – and with only one quarter of sales under its belt.
Moving the dial on just 24 months, next week’s ACOS will also see a preview of how NSM plans to step up the entertainment offer across its whole range with the launch of Unhosted Quiz, which will further enhance the Atom’s appeal.
“Anybody who’s got an Atom, Lightning or Curve, will be able to have the Unhosted Quiz on there for an extra subscription,” said Kirby.
“It just shows we’re putting an awful lot of money and investment into the UK market, and we’re also pushing heavily into Europe. It’s really exciting at the moment.”
