Jason Lockwood has announced he is stepping down from his role as director of entertainment at pub and brewing giant Greene King.
Having joined as head of entertainment in 2011, Lockwood will now move on to pursue “a new challenge” in the sector.
“I’ve had a wonderful 15 years at Greene King and have enjoyed every minute,” he said. “My attention now turns, though, to finding a new challenge within the gaming, leisure or hospitality space.”
Lockwood has more than 30 years experience in the industry, having previously served as group gaming manager at Gala Coral, and head of electronic gaming at Genting Stanley.
At Greene King, Lockwood oversaw 4,000 gaming machines deployed across 3,000 pubs, with the company’s chief digital and commercial officer Clair Preston-Beer acknowledging his role in “transforming” the group’s gaming offer.
“I would like to thank Jason for his hard work and significant contribution over the last 15 years during which time he has transformed the gaming and entertainment offer at Greene King, leading the pub industry change from analogue to digital gaming machines, overseeing continued growth and introducing digital pub quizzing.”
