Miles Baron officially steps down as CEO of Bingo Association

Miles Baron ended his 13 year tenure at the chief executive’s office at the Bingo Association this week, paying tribute to his colleagues, operators, suppliers, and the “thousands of weekly bingo playing customers” for supporting both the sector and his leadership.

Miles Baron has stepped down as chief executive of the Bingo Association after more than 13 years, using his last day in office on 28 June to thank the entire sector for its support.

Highlighting the hard work of clubs, colleagues and suppliers to keep the bingo industry thriving, Baron wished the industry “a prosperous and successful future.”

“I am immensely proud of the many achievements made by the Bingo Association/National Bingo Game Association team at Dunstable during my time there,” said Baron.

“My thanks go to all those who helped make them possible, including bingo operators and club colleagues, all our suppliers, advisors and consultants, DCMS and the Gambling Commission, and of course thousands of weekly bingo playing customers who make the licensed bingo sector such an amazing place to work.”

“I wish everyone a prosperous and successful future and I know my successor Nicole will take the sector forward to a whole new level.”

Baron will be succeeded in the role of CEO by Nicole Garrett, as part of a wider leadership transition within the association.

“Miles has been a great advocate and friend of the industry during his time as chief executive and has delivered many positive reforms and successes which allow us to look to the future with optimism,” said a BA spokesperson.

“On behalf of The Bingo Association, Meeron, The National Bingo Game Association, and our members, we thank Miles for his dedication and contribution to the bingo industry and wish him all the best for the future.”
