Ocean Beach Pleasure Park partners with Nimbus Disability for access wristbands

Ocean Beach Pleasure Park has partnered with Nimbus Disability to create “a fun and inclusive experience for all” at its South Shields venue.

Following the agreement, the park will now work within Nimbus on the allocation of its accessibility and Essential Companion Wristbands.

“At Ocean Beach Pleasure Park, we are committed to ensuring that every guest, regardless of ability, can enjoy a fun, safe, and accessible experience,” said a spokesperson. “We’ve partnered with Nimbus Disability to assess eligibility for our Essential Companion Wristband (often referred to as a Carer’s Pass.)”

“This allows guests who require support to bring a carer on selected rides free of charge, once eligibility is confirmed by Nimbus and the wristband is issued by Ocean Beach Management on the day of the visit.”

The park added it will not issue Essential Companion Wristbands without confirmation from Nimbus.

“If you already hold a valid Access Card with the ‘+1’ symbol, your eligibility is confirmed for the duration of the card’s validity. You do not need to re-apply; simply bring your Access Card when you visit.”
