Paultons Park has been named the best theme park in the UK by family play specialist Outdoor Toys, with the New Forest attraction beating Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Drayton Manor, which both shared second place.

The ranking is based on admission costs, number of rides, hotel rates and TripAdvisor scores, with OutdoorToys praising Paultons Park for its consistently high levels of positive customer feedback.

“Paultons Park is the ideal destination for Peppa Pig lovers and adrenaline-seeking families alike, with 36 rides, including nine that are themed around the beloved TV character’s world,” said a spokesperson.

“Despite being the most expensive park, Paultons Park has the highest percentage of ‘excellent’ reviews on Tripadvisor, at over two-thirds (71 percent) and an average rating of 4.5 out of five.”

Ranking behind Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Drayton Manor was Alton Towers Resort, followed by Woodlands Family Theme Park, Sundown Adventureland‌, Thorpe Park, The Web Adventure Park, Camel Creek Family Adventure Park, and Fantasy Island.
