Rays of Sunshine was delighted to help officially open Funstation’s latest Volcano Falls adventure golf location at Leeds’ White Rose Shopping Centre, where wish families joined the celebrations and the charity received a generous £2,000 donation.

Volcano Falls Adventure Golf is the latest indoor leisure destination from Bacta member Funstation. The new Leeds venue features two 12-hole adventure golf courses, interactive electric darts, and a licensed bar.

Representatives from Rays of Sunshine, the charity’s mascot Sunny, and a group of wish families were invited to take part in the launch event. Together, they helped cut the ribbon to mark the official opening and accepted the donation from Funstation, a long-standing supporter of the charity’s work.

One of the children in attendance was Isaac, whose Rays of Sunshine wish will be granted in the very near future. 

Michelle O’Kane, Isaac’s mother, said:“It was such a brilliant opportunity, and we feel privileged to have been part of this special event.

“Isaac absolutely loved the exciting 4D golf courses, and the atmosphere and the whole event were just amazing. It was a wonderful experience for our family and something we will remember for a long time.”

The launch is the latest in a series of special experiences that Funstation has invited Rays of Sunshine wish families to be part of over many years, reflecting a partnership built on generosity, kindness and a shared commitment to bringing joy to seriously ill children and their families.

Over the years, Funstation has been one of the industry’s ‘tireless supporters’ of Rays of Sunshine’s mission to brighten the lives of seriously and terminally ill children. The company has hosted VIP days for wish families, supported wishes and events, and donated thousands of pounds to help the charity create unforgettable moments for children and their loved ones.
