The industry will be hearing a lot more of RBW Systems this year as they prepare for the migration of Bacta portal users to the new Guardian Compliance solution. And the plan was outlined during the course of EAG, where RBW received an overwhelmingly positive reaction. But London brought more strong results for the systems specialist, with a number of independents signing up and progress on “exciting” new deals lined up for the second quarter. Rob Wheeler tells all.
Coinslot: How did the show go for you this year: did it meet your expectations?
Rob Wheeler: EAG is always an exciting show for us and a great anchor to kick start the year. EAG 2026 was no different, we had a great show catching up with existing customers, networking with industry partners, and adding several significant opportunities to our 2026 roadmap.
Coinslot: Any key developments finalised at EAG – new agreements signed, new appointments, installations agreed etc?
Rob Wheeler: The show saw us pick up many independent operators looking to make the transition to Guardian TITO. We also made great progress on some exciting deals which should come to fruition Q2/Q3 2026.
We also have outlined a plan with Bacta for the migration of Bacta portal users to the new Guardian Compliance solution this year.
Coinslot: What were the stand highlights – which products caught the attention and what was reaction to your portfolio of products?
Rob Wheeler: We had a lot of interest across both Guardian TITO and Guardian Compliance which was very promising.
The feedback on the new compliance product was overwhelmingly positive, with a lot of operators excited to have a fit for purpose product that reduces the burden of compliance.
We also had Robin Paine, from ClientScan, on the stand showcasing their facial recognition solution which drew a lot of attention. The ClientScan solution is integrated with Guardian Compliance facial recognition API, to enable customer matching and age verification alerts.
This API is available to any FR provider looking to integrate with our Compliance solution.
Coinslot: It’s going to be a defining year for the business – new legislation and new regulation. How did you gauge the general mood of the industry and what were the main talking points?
Rob Wheeler: The majority of operators we spoke to were generally positive, with many looking to make investments into their operations by upgrading to a TITO based site, and looking into how the Guardian system can help them manage their operations.
Coinslot: Now the show is over, what’s on your agenda going into spring in terms of new products, new projects and more exhibitions?
Rob Wheeler: The focus for spring is to deliver on the first phase of migration from the Bacta portal onto Guardian Compliance, and get several key large deals over the line which will be announced in due course.
We’ll also be exhibiting at the ARE show in Manchester in the spring, and look forward to catching up with our customers and industry partners then.
Independence day
