Redditch United names Gordon Moody as official charity partner

Redditch United Football Club has announced Gordon Moody as its official charity partner for the 2025/26 season.

Gordon Moody recently opened its flagship treatment centre, Gordon Moody House, in Redditch in November 2024. The partnership will see the charity’s branding featured at Valley Stadium and on the back of Redditch United’s match shirts, promoting awareness of gambling-related harm within the community.

“We are thrilled to welcome Gordon Moody as our official charity partner,” said Redditch United chairman David Faulkner. “Their dedication to addressing gambling-related harms aligns perfectly with our commitment to supporting the well-being of our community.”

Gordon Moody CEO, Monica Shafaq, was enthused by the agreement. She believes the partnership “is more than just branding” – for the charity, it’s about a united front to tackle gambling-related harm.

“With our flagship centre now open in the heart of the town, we’re deeply committed to supporting the local community,” she said.

“Football has the power to bring people together, and by working with Redditch United, we hope to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and ensure that no one feels that they have to face addiction alone.”
