The team from Reflex Gaming paid one of its regular visits to the Rovers Return last month, stepping onto the set of Coronation Street to refurbish “one of Britain’s best-known pub fruit machines.” 

The firm has supplied the venue with its machine for many years, and regularly visits the studios at MediaCityUK in Trafford to ensure the “much-loved piece of pub gaming heritage” looks its best for the cameras.

“It is not every day you get to work on a machine in such an iconic pub, so this was a real privilege for the team,” said business development director Mark Purdy.

“Reflex has a proud history in analogue gaming and we are delighted to continue supporting a machine that has become part of the backdrop of British television. It was a brilliant reminder that great machines, like great pubs, become part of people’s memories.” 

However, Reflex added the visit “was not without incident.” “Disaster was narrowly avoided when Steve Clark and Colin Wagner were almost removed from the lot after security briefly mistook them for an unauthorised cameo by the Mitchell brothers.”

The refurbishment underlines Reflex Gaming’s continued commitment to supporting both modern digital product and traditional analogue machines across the UK market.
