Silcock’s Leisure operations director Serena Silcock-Prince took a prominent part in this year’s Armed Forces Day in her role as president of the Southport RBL.

Held on 28 June, the event saw veterans and members of the local cadet forces attend a Drumhead Service and parade, before an inspection at Southport Pier.

“What an incredible Armed Forces Day 2026,” said Silcock-Prince. “I’m so proud to have been part of such a special day.” 

“A huge thank you to everyone who worked so hard behind the scenes, volunteered their time, supported the event and came along to celebrate our Armed Forces. Seeing so many people lining the streets and enjoying everything the day had to offer was truly heartwarming.”

The commemoration event took place as it was confirmed that National Armed Forces Day will be held in Southport next year.

“Roll on Armed Forces Day 2027,” added Silcock-Prince. “It’s going to be even bigger and better.”
