Stack Leisure has opened its second venue in Newcastle, bringing the historic three-storey Worswick Chambers on Pilgrim Street back to life with eight bars, street food vendors, a terrace for live entertainment, and Sideshow interactive gaming arcade.
The new site boasts a range of activities including pool, shuffleboard, darts, and karaoke, and joins the existing Stack complex at St James, which opened in 2024 and has since become an official fan zone for Newcastle United.
“The time has come,” said a spokesperson. “We’re talking three floors, eight bars, eight street food traders, a coffee shop, an outdoor terrace with a stage for live entertainment, and interactive gaming at Sideshow. Basically, everything you could want in one place.”
“Whether you’re planning a cheeky bite to eat, a proper brunch, late-night cocktails, or just a place to hang with friends, at Stack Newcastle, we’ve got it all.”
The new Stack officially opened on 2 December, and joins sister venues in Lincoln, Seaburn, and Middlesbrough, as well as the original Newcastle site.
Stack also recently announced plans to open in Bishop Auckland, Carlisle, Durham, Leeds, Manchester, Northampton, Sheffield and Whitley Bay after securing a new funding package from Westbrooke Alternative Asset Management.
“We’re particularly excited to support a platform that’s redefining F&B led entertainment in regions outside London,” said Westbrooke’s head of origination Harry Newall.
