“The industry is ready to face the future with confidence and agility, and Reflex is proud to be at the forefront”

Awards, partnerships and future-proof products saw Reflex “exceed expectations on several fronts” at EAG this year, with the show representing the 20th consecutive EAG that the company has attended. Speaking to Coinslot, MD Quentin Stott acknowledged that though there may be hurdles ahead, “our products are designed to meet today’s needs and adapt to tomorrow’s challenges.”

Coinslot: How did the show go for you this year: did it meet your expectations?

Quentin Stott: It was a fantastic show, exceeding our expectations on several fronts. Firstly, we were incredibly honoured to receive an award at the show for our 20 years of continuous presence as an exhibitor at the show. This milestone reflects our long-standing commitment to the UK gaming industry and the strong relationships we’ve built over the years.

Day one kicked off with a packed schedule of pre-booked appointments, keeping the team busy and engaged from the get-go. As expected, Wednesday was buzzing with activity, and even Thursday – traditionally a quieter day – proved to be both fruitful and productive.

We had the pleasure of reconnecting with many familiar faces, including long-standing friends and customers. What made this year particularly exciting, though, was the large number of new partners and potential customers introduced to the Reflex team. It was a great opportunity to showcase our diverse product portfolio and highlight the innovation we bring to the market.

The energy and enthusiasm from visitors, both existing and new, truly made the event a standout for us. We couldn’t be happier with the outcomes and are already looking forward to building on the connections we made at next year’s show!

Coinslot: Were there any key developments finalised at EAG?

Quentin Stott: The Cyclone cabinet was a standout success at this year’s show, driving significant sales orders across the board. Partnered with its smaller sibling, the Games Master 2, we secured several substantial purchase commitments from key single-site operators such as Bob Rudd Leisure, Kossways, and Sims Automatics for both cabinets.

On the AGC and bingo front, Tier 1 operators and many independents pledged to our Cat C Community menu, building on its strong performance in late 2024. Available in both our Cyclone and Game Pro cabinets, it was the factory conversion – with its ideal price point that really captured attention as a show favourite.

These commitments underscore the trust our partners place in Reflex Gaming’s innovative and proven products, setting a solid foundation for continued growth in 2025.

Coinslot: What were the stand highlights – which products caught the attention and what was the reaction to your portfolio of products?

Quentin Stott: Our stand was buzzing with excitement, thanks to some standout new offerings that captured the attention of operators.

First up was our new Flaming 500 B3 multi-game menu, housed in the premium Cyclone cabinet. It features over 40 games, including our popular Max Play and Gamble+ titles, it impressed operators with its strong lineup and no content subscription from launch. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising its versatility and immediate appeal.

Another highlight was our Fortune 500 Platinum – a retro-inspired, standalone reel-based £500 jackpot machine. This modern take on a classic, designed to meet the growing demand for nostalgic gaming, comes as a factory rebuild with added features such as TITO, cash handling, and Set Limits options, ensuring it’s as future-proof as it is familiar.

The licensed Mystical Dragons also drew significant interest, particularly from AGC and bingo operators. This three-player analogue version of the iconic Elemental Dragons blends the original’s much-loved maths, artwork, and colourways with modern functionality. With note acceptance and TITO compatibility, it’s an ideal replacement or complement to the original game, offering both familiarity and fresh appeal.

Overall, the reaction to our portfolio was fantastic, with operators praising the variety, innovation, and player-centric approach of our latest releases.

Coinslot: t’s going to be a defining year for the business – new legislation and new regulation. How did you gauge the general mood of the industry and what were the main talking points?

Quentin Stott: The industry showed a bullish resilience and a strong commitment to investment, despite the uncertainty surrounding upcoming legislation. There’s a clear focus on ensuring that any purchases, especially from Reflex, deliver immediate operational value and profitability, while also being adaptable enough to handle whatever changes lie ahead.

Whether it’s adjustments to White Paper ratios, technical standards, or the long-anticipated stakes and prize announcement, our products are designed to meet today’s needs and adapt to tomorrow’s challenges. Our development and engineering teams remain focused on innovating within the current boundaries, and the performance of our products continues to reflect the success of that approach.

The main takeaway? The industry is ready to face the future with confidence and agility, and Reflex is proud to be at the forefront of that effort.

Coinslot: Now the show is over, what’s on your agenda going into spring in terms of new products, new projects and more exhibitions?

Quentin Stott: Next up for us is ICE Show in Barcelona, where we’ll have a stronger focus on our online gaming portfolio. The team will also be there to reconnect with partners and suppliers and explore opportunities in new territories and sectors. It’s a key event for evaluating how we can continue to expand our reach and influence.

In March, we’re excited to attend the inaugural ARE Expo. This will be a great opportunity to share initial performance figures from our B3 cabinets and introduce customers to some of our 2025 roadmaps, including new titles for Single Site and AGC Bingo Community markets. We’re looking forward to building on the momentum from EAG and keeping the excitement going into spring!
