Thieves target Bullion Bars machines in Glasgow and New Brighton

Police are seeking more information on thieves who have targeted machines in robberies reported at Glasgow and New Brighton AGCs this January.

The first incident occurred on 2 January 2025, when the two men entered a venue in Glasgow at around 2:15pm and allegedly emptied the hoppers of the Bullion Bars and Real Magic machines using a wire and a handheld device. One of the suspects, wearing a distinctive blue gilet, is believed to be Christopher Roberts.

Roberts is subsequently suspected to have participated in a second robbery at an arcade in New Brighton on the Wirral on 12 January 2025.  This incident saw two men – the other man is also thought to be the same suspect from the Glasgow robbery – empty three hoppers from a Bullion Bar four-player machine using a device.

Police Scotland has issued Crime Reference 170102/01/2025 for the Glasgow robbery and has requested that the public contact them if they have any information.
