Touchtunes: Orders taken for Angelina as Bullshooter makes its mark

Steady footfall kept TouchTunes’ Angelina jukebox and Bullshooter darts system busy at this year’s ACOS, with commercial director Toby Hoyte marking the two day event down as a success. Operators were particularly excited about the TouchTunes app’s potential to boost jukebox revenues, with Hoyte securing significant orders for Angelina on the show floor. Promising discussions also continued around site trials for Bullshooter, with operators showing strong interest in taking advantage of the ongoing competitive socialising trend.

Coinslot: There was a very positive vibe at the show this year. How did ACOS go for you – was there good footfall and business conducted during the two days?

Toby Hoyte: ACOS 2024 was genuinely a strong show for us. The atmosphere was upbeat, and footfall was steady throughout the two days.

We saw a mix of both new operators, retailers, and, of course, our established customers coming by to discuss our offerings.

Many operators were particularly keen to see the new Bullshooter darts system and discuss deals for the Angelina jukebox.

Coinslot: You had a number of crowd-pulling innovations on stand. Talk us through some of them, and what was the customer reaction to your portfolio?

Toby Hoyte: The two main attractions were the Angelina jukebox and the Bullshooter darts machine.

Angelina is known for its sleek design and reliability, and we had a showstopper deal exclusive to ACOS that drew a lot of attention.

Visitors were impressed with its high performance, and the TouchTunes app has been a huge talking point, with most operators now seeing great potential for increased jukebox revenues.

Bullshooter, our new “social darts” machine, also caught a lot of attention as we gear up for its UK test phase. It’s easy to set up, great for group play, and generated a lot of buzz among operators who want to finally offer a darts option in their venues. Many were eager to see how it could resonate with UK customers.

Coinslot: Were there any notable wins from the two days – new agreements, installations, partnerships?

Toby Hoyte: Yes, there were several promising discussions, especially around site trials for Bullshooter.

Many operators have committed to testing it in their venues, and we’re looking forward to these partnerships taking shape over the next few months.

On the Angelina front, we secured some significant orders, with operators prioritising the high-quality Angelina jukebox for their best sites.

Coinslot: ACOS is always a good barometer of the mood in the market, and by all accounts, it was a spirited event. How did you find it, and what were the main talking points?

Toby Hoyte: This year’s ACOS was very positive, with lots of discussion around quality and innovation.

Many of the conversations centred on enhancing customer experiences in pubs and clubs, with operators showing strong interest in interactive, “competitive socialising” entertainment options like Bullshooter.

Reliable, revenue-generating equipment also took centre stage, with Angelina jukeboxes frequently mentioned for their solid performance record.

Coinslot: With a brief break between now and January’s EAG, can we expect to see any new innovations or projects unveiled at the London show?

Toby Hoyte: Yes, EAG will be another great chance for us to showcase Bullshooter, with insights from the early UK trials, as well as highlight new developments in our jukebox portfolio.

We’re constantly working on ways to enhance user interaction through the TouchTunes app, so there’s a lot to look forward to in terms of added features and innovations to help operators drive engagement and revenue.

Expect some exciting updates at EAG in January!
