UDC ‘cleaned out’ in Dublin

UDC’s Jonathan Lauder and Richard Crompton set out for Dublin last week with a full booth of games to showcase to visitors at the Irish Gaming Show. They left empty handed. To say the expo was a success would be an understatement – it was the English eyes definitely smiling as they left the two-day Crown Plaza sortie having unexpectedly sold every last piece of equipment.

“We’d made arrangements to bring a few pieces back, as is often the case,” Lauder told Coinslot. But best laid plans … “the exhibition was very well attended this year and there was lots of interested in the games we showed, particularly the Tornado redemption pusher which has been a sensation for operators over the past year,” Lauder noted.

“We took many more orders than expected and have already agreed to come back again for 2026.”

The Irish show has always been one of the most popular events on the industry calendar and this year’s edition seemed to take that blend of social meets business to a new level, aided somewhat by a sense of direction, not totally clear but clear enough, that times are a’changing on the regulatory front.

The Irish market is moving up. And UDC were clearly delighted with the shift.

“ It was lovely to see lots of old faces, and a few new ones” Lauder added, pointing somewhat proudly at  the team posing for photos shared on social media with well-known figures in the industry.
