Verdant Leisure posts £9.4m loss after restructuring and park sale

Verdant Leisure reported a pre-tax loss of £9.4m in its first accounts under a new holding company structure, after acquisition costs and the sale of one of its parks weighed on results.

The group, which operates 11 holiday parks across the UK, recorded the loss for the period from 10 December 2024 to 31 December 2025 on turnover of £46.4m. Adjusted EBITDA rose to £6.8m, while operating losses reached £6.4m after £5.3m in exceptional costs.

These included acquisition-related expenses and a £2.6m loss on the disposal of Golden Coast Holiday Park in Woolacombe, Devon, which was sold to Vale Holiday Parks in December 2025.

The company said the sale would allow it to “focus on its northern sites” and has “improved the group’s liquidity”.

Director Michael Wilmot said: “The group has made a strong start to 2026,” with holiday home sales up 5 percent and bookings 10 percent ahead by the end of April.
