Work is progressing on a new Admiral AGC in the heart of King’s Lynn, one year after West Norfolk Council first approved plans for the St Dominic’s Square unit.
It was hoped conversion of the former Blue Inc premises would be complete by July, however delays in further approvals pushed the project behind schedule.
“Construction started later than originally planned, missing the original July target, but work is now progressing steadily,” reported online construction journal BDC. “Renovation work is in full swing, with crews updating the interior.”
“Construction approval allows significant changes, including adjustments to the entrance. The recessed area at the front will be reduced, bringing the façade closer to Broad Walk and Broad Street.”
The amendments were first proposed in April, and only approved recently, despite Lichfields planning consultants telling councillors “the opening of the unit as an Admiral Casino relies on this current planning application being determined as quickly as possible.”
